Keith County Leadership is designed to help emerging and established leaders gain a deeper understanding of our community while building meaningful connections throughout Keith County.
Through interactive sessions, behind-the-scenes tours, and conversations with local leaders and organizations, participants gain valuable leadership experience and insight into the industries, services, and people that help our community thrive.
Whether you are looking to grow professionally, become more involved locally, or expand your network, Keith County Leadership offers a unique opportunity to learn, serve, and lead.
About the Program
Keith County Leadership is a nine-month immersive leadership program that meets one day each month from August through May.
Participants explore a wide range of topics that impact our community while connecting with business professionals, community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and local decision-makers.
Program experiences may include:
- Community and business tours
- Interactive leadership discussions
- Networking opportunities
- Volunteer and service projects
- Local and state government experiences
- Industry and organizational visits
Participants are also encouraged to apply their leadership skills through community involvement and a hands-on class project.

Each class session focuses on a different area of community leadership and engagement, including:

- Tourism & Hospitality
- Energy & Infrastructure
- Agriculture & Environment
- Education
- Government & Public Service
- Health & Human Services
- Law & Legal Systems
Topics and activities may vary slightly from year to year based on community opportunities and guest speakers.

Leadership Through Service
Keith County Leadership places a strong emphasis on volunteerism and community engagement.
Each class participates in a community-focused project designed to strengthen Keith County while giving participants the opportunity to collaborate, problem-solve, and make a lasting impact.
The program encourages participants to take their leadership skills beyond the classroom and into the community.
