Brittany Hardin began serving on the Keith Co Chamber of Commerce Board early in 2020. She currently serves as Gov. Ricketts’ spokesperson and representative in west-central Nebraska, as well as the Department of Economic Development’s (DED) business development consultant for 17 western Nebraska counties . She began working as the liaison between the Governor’s Office and DED in 2017 after serving as the Governor’s Communications Director and speechwriter in 2015 and 2016. Connecting Gov. Ricketts and Lt. Gov. Foley to new and expanding businesses encourages strong relationships between the Governor’s administration and Nebraska’s business community. It also serves as an opportunity to educate our business and community leaders about state programs, which are designed to expand businesses and connect our youth to future careers in Nebraska’s workforce.
Brittany's husband, Justin, and her grew up in Keith County and they are so excited to have the opportunity to raise their own child here. After moving away to further their educations and begin careers in other states (California and Washington D.C.), they moved back to Keith County shortly before they were married in 2003. There favorite thing to do in Keith County is spending time with their son at Lake McConaughy, which happens during most weekends in the summer. Like many ‘locals’, they also love taking advantage of weekday evenings when it feels like they are the only ones on the water.
